3D foil shapes

WALT:  make 3D foil shapes.

Success criteria:

Make a 3D shape out of paper and wrap it in foil.
Talk about what kind of shape you made.
Talk about how many faces, sides and corners your shape has.

Very good writing Zoe. You have your title, goal, list of materials, steps in order and action verbs! Next step - try and sound out words or even use a dictionary to check your spelling.

Zoe did a great job at achieving the success criteria.  It is evident that she has action verbs, her steps are in order and she the outline of the piece of writing is correct.  Zoe's next steps are to use the correct capital letter in the correct places as well as full stops.  Seeing as this was a publishing tasks Zoe should have taken into account the editing she and the teacher had completed on her draft to have a neat published version without any mistakes.  

Altogether Zoe completed a well organised and detailed piece of instruction.  Well done Zoe.

Art portrait

WALT: Create self-portrait and painting them with water paint.

We can do this when: we use a pencil to draw ourselves with all the elements of a face and painting our portrait using relevant colours by staying within the lines.

Next step:  Use our drawing and painting skills to design and decorate our art mural.

Zoe made a very bold self-portrait using different colours and painting techniques.  I love how you used bright colours for your painting, it really makes it stand out. I also love how you designed your glasses. Great work.

Writing

WALT: write some information about ourselves through planning and ICT.

We can do this when:  we write a detailed informative piece of writing and typing it up on a computer.

Next step:  To add more detail to my writing to make it more interesting e.g. descriptive words.

Writing

I am learning to: Write and Publish a poem.

I can do this when I can :

Describe myself using a range of different words including adjectives.
Read my poem with a clear voice at the right speed and noise level.

Next Step : Write a  Bio poem about one of your family members or a pet.

We learned about ANZAC Day and wrote about some photos from the war. 

I am learning to: Write to describe.
I can do this when I can:
- Write sentences that talk about what is happening in the photo.
- Write sentences that make sense.
- Use verbs (doing words) in the right place.
- Use punctuation correctly.
- Write in detail.

I have used capitals in the right place. My next step is to check my work carefully.
